Some people fall in love...

This is the very first of my best friends to get married (less than three weeks until the big day!)

Some people stay in love...

John and Melva Cosper (my wonderful grandparents) celebrated their 62nd anniversary this month. They are completely inseparable, and completely in love after all these years.

and Some people...

...have yet to find it! (Hopefully I will before these two little munchkins)

But I really don't mind the wait.

today

My wise, wonderful piano teacher of eight years once told me,

"Sure, we can always plan for tomorrow, but today is the only day we can really work with!"

This thought has really stuck with me throughout the years. Each time I start to make myself a to-do list (I am and always have been a fan of the "to-do list") her perky voice pops into my head, reminding me that making a list really doesn't do much good unless I'm going to start on it today. And not just today, but right now.

I decided that rather than making to-do lists all the time, I should start making I'm-doing lists. That way I'll know i'm not just pointlessly planning.. I'm actually making progress! (And I can feel good about what I am doing rather than always feeling overwhelmed by future tasks.)

cruiser

There is something that has been on my mind for the past year or two.. something that makes my eyes light up each time I see it.. something I've been craving to ride:

A beach cruiser bicycle. Today, on my twentieth birthday, I finally have one to call my own. I no longer have to envy each one I come across, and I can finally satisfy my craving by going out and riding my very own beautiful, comfortable bicycle.

This is my bike, and I love it. I've already ridden it through the rain and around most of Alpine. Something you can't see in this photograph: the hot pink designs on the fenders and seat (a subtle detail which adds just the right amount of girliness). Thank you my sweet, generous ma and pa. And HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

the time has finally come..

For me to start a blog of my very own.  I love admiring my friends' and family members' blogs, and I love writing down my thoughts, feelings, and discoveries.  So I've decided to start sharing.  Enjoy!
