"Sure, we can always plan for tomorrow, but today is the only day we can really work with!"
This thought has really stuck with me throughout the years. Each time I start to make myself a to-do list (I am and always have been a fan of the "to-do list") her perky voice pops into my head, reminding me that making a list really doesn't do much good unless I'm going to start on it today. And not just today, but right now.
I decided that rather than making to-do lists all the time, I should start making I'm-doing lists. That way I'll know i'm not just pointlessly planning.. I'm actually making progress! (And I can feel good about what I am doing rather than always feeling overwhelmed by future tasks.)
What an interesting muse...
ReplyDeleteI'll have to think about that.
Christine Tate?
you know it! Love that lady
ReplyDeleteI like that. I am a fan of lists as well, I say make a list every once in a while and then spend the rest of the time completing it. Then you plan and do. Makes sense to me!
